M S M Driving School teach everyone aged 17 years old upwards around my local area of Preston. You will benefit from one-to-one tuition from an instructor with an excellent high pass rate.
There will be a number of multiple-choice questions and your hazard awareness skills will be tested. Both parts of the theory test must be passed to be successful.
Part 1 - Multiple-choice questions
• 50 questions, of which at least 43 must be correct to pass this part.
• Topics cover signs, road markings, road procedure, car maintenance, first aid, legal issues etc.
Part 2 - Hazard Perception
• You will be shown 14 video clips of actual road footage.
• You must respond by pressing a button on a mouse when a hazard develops.
• You will score more points the sooner you spot the developing hazard.
• You must score at least 44 out of 75 to pass this part.

You will be tested on:
• Eyesight – be able to read a vehicle number plate (new style) from a distance of 20 metres (66 feet), which is approximately five car lengths.
• Basic car safety/maintenance – you will be asked two questions, such as how you would check the engine oil level and make sure the brake lights are working.
• Your driving – you will be asked to drive a pre-selected route, which will encompass a range of different road types, speeds and traffic conditions. You will also be asked to perform several manoeuvres, such as reversing around a corner.

Once you have passed your driving test it is important you continue your DRIVER TRAINING by choosing to take part in the Pass Plus scheme.
